Introduction
Guru Consultancy Firm (Guru CF) works as a development agency on consultation and empowerment of pastoral and agro-pastoral communities in Somalia through bottom-up governance and a community-driven development approach.
Background
The Guru Consultancy Firm was legally registered with the Puntland Authority on 13 June 2019. Guru Consultancy Firm has started working with the Office of Puntland Human Rights Defender on human rights education, community policing, conflict management education, rapid response survey, and establishment of M and E unit.
Guru Consultancy Firm technically and financially supports the Pastoral and Agro-pastoral community in Doogeeye by investing Doogeeye water supply project through the Guru Farming Cooperative. GURU CF mobilized the Doogeeye Community and funded a water pump installation with a solar pump, two water reservoirs, and piping 2.8km.
GURU CF translates documents including the prevention of sexual exploitation and abuses policy from English Language into Somali Language.
